As a Presbyterian elder, the idea of the Gold Edition Trump Bible is profoundly vile and contrary to the spirit of Scripture.
The Word of God is sacred, meant to lead people to humility, repentance, and service—not to be commercialized or conflated with branding, especially political branding.
It is even more vile coming from people who are dead set on public policies that eschew fundamental teachings of Christ.
This new iteration of the Trump Bible turns the Word of God into an object of idolatry, promoting a personality—a demagogue!—rather than Christ, and distorts the Gospel’s call to glorify God alone.
This merchandise undermines the reverence and universality of the Scripture by tying it to a divisive figure, turning something holy into a tool for profit and political exploitation.
