Dwight Elmore
Dwight Elmore, a professional electrician and plant manager, is the current Building Manager and Administrator of Edgewater Presbyterian Church. In this capacity, he oversees the property on behalf of the Session and works with the pastor in her role as chief executive officer of the congregation.
The building manager and church administrator, sometimes called the sexton in other traditional churches, helps maintain the congregation’s relationships with space-sharers in the building, vendors, and community members at-large.
Dwight lives in the Edgewater Beach neighborhood. He is a proud father and grandfather. He is a member of the congregation and the Presbyterian Church (USA). He was a volunteer for civil leaders in the larger Edgewater neighborhood, including at the in-district office of the Illinois state senator.
Previously, Cleo Baker served as building manager for over 30 years. The church office is named in his honor.
